Bunni Pounds is the president of Bunni Pounds Ministries, launched in 2026 to bring America back to the simplicity and the power of the Word of God — providing discipleship, community, and life-changing events to impact individuals, families, and leaders.

Bunni Pounds Ministries was created to turn a single national moment into a sustained movement of weekly discipleship, national gatherings, ongoing media, and a generation of young leaders rooted in Scripture.

Bunni Pounds is the visionary behind America Reads the Bible 2026—the largest Bible reading in United States history—which saw nearly 500 national leaders read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation in celebration of America’s 250th birthday at the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.

This Scripture initiative saw unprecedented success and unity, with 122 Christian ministries joining together, along with six Cabinet members, six governors, 20 Members of Congress, Hollywood stars, and representatives from nearly all 50 states. The production was produced by Great American Pure Flix and received three million views and more than 5,000 media hits in just one week.

Also, for the first time in American history, a sitting president read Scripture uninterrupted as President Donald J. Trump read 2 Chronicles 7:11–22 for three minutes from the Oval Office. His video from America Reads the Bible was also replayed by the White House during the Rededication on May 17, 2026.

Bunni is the founder of Christians Engaged, which she built into a movement of more than one million Christians praying, voting, and engaging. Her team saw more than 3,200 people complete their civics and biblical worldview courses, worked with more than 800 churches, and mentored more than 125 young adults through trips and retreats.

Before founding Christians Engaged, Bunni was a political consultant and campaign manager for 16 years, working with Members of Congress. In 2018, she also ran a nearly million-dollar campaign for Congress herself. Although she was endorsed by national leaders, she ultimately came up slightly short.

Bunni is the author of two books: Jesus and Politics: One Woman’s Walk with God in a Mudslinging Profession and her latest book, Stepping Up to Lead: Rebuilding a Nation in the Footsteps of Nehemiah, which includes an incredible foreword by Candace Cameron Bure and has been endorsed by 20 other key national leaders.

A graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute and Dallas Baptist University, above all, Bunni loves to share the gospel and the simplicity of walking with God with everyone she meets.

Bunni has been married to her husband, Tim, since 1996. They have two grown sons, both married to amazing women, and three precious grandchildren.
